Thanks For Lifting Me Up

Good Evening Everyone

Here is a sweet little card I made recently, a thank you card with a difference. I love the play on words pairing with the hot air balloon, it’s nice and bright with plenty to look at. A perfect little thank you and sure to put a smile on someone’s face.

Thank you for viewing my card creation and my blog.

Hey There Friend

 Hey There Everyone

A lovely card I made yesterday, perfect for a friend as a handmade card is all the more special!
There is a strong geometrical pattern on this card. The identical sized hexagons add symmetry to the but I love the unique patterns within, gives you plenty to look at and admire. Also, the little ribbons just finish the card off nicely.

I feel a handmade card is much more meaningful, especially for a close friend!

Spread Your Wings

Good Evening everyone

Below is a card I recently created. Whether someone is spreading their wings to start a new career, going off to university or maybe moving away from home, it's nice to give them a beautiful homemade card to show you're thinking of them.

The gorgeous pastel blues are the perfect colour. The various patterns and small details really compliment the card, as well as the beautiful butterflies looking as if they could just fly off the page.

Surf's Up

Evening everyone

Well I have the decorators in and can't use my downstairs so unfortunately I have to spend all evening up here in my craft room. Now that's a shame.

I has been so warm today I decided that I needed to make a nice beach themed card.

I started out with a 5x5" base then used some Stampin Up! Marina Mist for the layer.  I die cut the sign post in Crumb Cake and White then out out the signs and used vintage photo on the edges.  I wrote the signs in crumb cake marker.

For the background I used Stormy sky Distress ink and also the High Tide stamp set.  For the sand I just ripped a piece of card on a diagonal.  To add a bit of interest I stamped a background stamp and then painted the foreground with the vintage photo.

I die cut bot of the surf board one in blue and one in brown.  Then cut out some shells and used dimensionals to adhere then to the bottom of the sign, as it was looking a bit bare.

As always thanks for looking

Little Things

Evening everyone

Well its another beautiful day today, sun is shining, pity I have to go to work.

A little card tonight using the Swiss
dot embossing folder and a lovely sentiment.  I added a few pearls and stamped around the sentiment.

I love the bright colours with the dark background, makes it really pop out of the page.

Craft Room Organisation

Afternoon All

Well its been a while since my last post so I'm here to show you what I have been doing for the last few weeks.

Firstly I retired from being a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, although I will still be using their products it was time to move on with all my crafting.

I moved into my house about 16 months ago and at the time just put everything in my craft room in no order what so ever, with the intention of sorting and cataloguing that just never happened, until a few weeks ago.

As I have got busier with commissioned work I was always trying to find things and decided enough was enough.

I have organised everything now and thought I would share some on my things.

These first few pictures are a view of the room.  I am lucky to have bought a 3 storey house so have used the large top room as my craft space.

I even managed to get my old kitchen table and chairs in so if I want to do some classes or even invite friends around I can.

I bought some paper trays from a lovely lady on FB and sorted all the 12 x 12 papers out and then the A4 card stock (remind me not to buy any more)  The black plastic draws also hold card and paper... with a whole shelf just for 6 x 6 and 8 x8 paper pads..  I think I have a problem  :-)

I tried to sort all my stamps and dies into categories using what ever boxes I could find.

I have other shelves for all my paints, markers, pencils and colouring books.  My inks and some ribbons are above my desk.

The draws hold embellishments, flowers, stickers etc.

And finally the back wall will hold made projects

Thanks as always for looking now its time to actually start using all this..........
