Home Sweet Home

HI everyone

Something a bit different today, I have made this sign for my new house.  It is done with vinyl letter and the wood boards are actually two signs I bought in B&M so I decided to change them up.

Firstly I put them end to end with some hot glue and super glue, then I painted the whole thing with a cream chalk paint.  After this was dry I had the join line so I went in and drew more lines with a pencil and went over them with a very thin paint brush and some brown chalk paint to make it look like wood.  I also chose to dry brush over the whole thing with the darker paint making it a bit more distressed.

I cut out the home sweet home and the leaf pattern on my Cameo and added the this to the front then I went over it all with some sand paper to make is blend a bit more.

I added the flower from one in my stash but first dry brushed this with the same cream and then added some rope for the hanger.

I love the way this turned out and it has given me more ideas to make.

Happy Birthday Gorgeous

Hi Everyone

Well have had a dry spell for the last 6 or so weeks, really lost all my mojo, as I have been trying to pack up so I can move which is going way to slow at the moment.

Anyway unpack things again and decided to make a card

I used a Retro pack from the Range, lovely papers reminds me of old wall paper.

Anyway thanks for looking as always.

Hi Everyone

Unicrns - who doesn't love them.

I have used my Silhouette to create and print off this topper, I added the sentiment using a lovely new font that I have from @fontbundles it is called Ancient Geometry, and I think it is fab.

I have changed the hue to match the papers which are from Stampin Up and layered them all on Black card stock for that POP

I added a ribbon and there you go, very simple but I think very effective.

Part of my Story

Hi Everyone

Today I have been making this card using up some old DSP, I have also used some buttons which I haven't used for ages, think this might be a new trend.

I have used 3 different layers and patterns each complimenting each the other.

I stamped the sentiment onto white card using Versa fine as I gives that lovely crisp look.

Be Creative

Hi everyone

A lovely challenge card from Stamp with Joy

I really loved this sketch and the I think I am addicted to these colours together.

I found some patterned paper that used both colours, the Gingham paper if from the new Stampin Up range and this blue is stunning.

I die cut the different hearts with the same papers and use a bit of bling to accent the sentiment.

Forever Friends

Hi Everyone

Tonight I have made a card using some of the lovely papers from Tonic Studios  I love these colours together.  It is done using a sketch from Viva Le Verve from 2015.

The die I used for the the bow is from @alinacraftstore, I really like the look on this however it is so delicate to put together but the result is lovely.  I wrapped some twine around the card to make it look like it is all one piece.

I put a gem in the centre for some extra bling.

The card from Tonic is a lovey grey with some roses embossed into the papers.

Flower Tray

Hi Everyone

Thanks for coming over, today I have made a tray within a tray

I have used a cut out for this project but it is very easy to reconstruct using the score board.  There are two inner trays inside a tray, and all this is cover with a nice belly bank closure.

I used a flower die for the embellishment and also a small tag stamp and die.

The papers are from the range and are absolutely stunning.

Best Ever Dad

Hi Everyone

Well a Male card tonight, it is not often I make these but thought I would get ahead with a DAD card today

I have used a sketch from Pinterest for this one, and a very old 6x6 paper pad.  I stamped the sentiment onto the patterned paper as it was so light. I used some brown pearls for some added dimension.

I love these colours together.

My Heart Smiles

Hi Everyone

Hope your day is going well, another male card from me today using all my scraps up again.

This time I used another sketch as I find so much inspiration in them, I changed it up rather a bit but I used all my scraps for the thin strips of patterned paper.

I added the diamond shaped punch tag from Stampin Up! as I thought this was a great fit for the male card and it actually came with the papers.

I also added a few Tonic drops although I am not sure about these, might change them out for brown pearls.

As always

Using more scraps

Hi Everyone
A little 4 x 4 square card tonight, using up more scraps, I will get bored with this soon I am sure but I'm on a mission to use them.  There are so many sketches out there that can be used for this.

I have used some lovely DSP that was out a long time ago and I just can't bear to throw any of it I am sure people can relate to this.  Just using 4 thin strips around the focal image makes such a difference to the out look of the card.  Again this sketch is on Pinterest.

I added a piece of bling inside the dandelion head just for some bells and whistles.

Dancing Shoes

Hi Everyone

Today I have used an old embossing folder with musical notes, after I decided on the stamp set.

Its a stamp I had free with a magazine, the stamp is all about dancing

I heat embossed the image and used an old WOW embossing powder, then I fussy cut it out to put at the bottom of the card.  I coloured the image a little using my Tonic Alcohol markers.

The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.  Lastly I put a length of ribbon across the card to hide the join.

Coffee Time

Hi Everyone

I was watching You Tube and fell on some video's of what to do with scraps, as a hoarder of all pieces of scrap this was an eye opener and a lovely lesson.

I created this card using the scraps I had left from a coffee set.  I first layered the papers onto a piece of photocopy paper.

Then I created a die cut of the coffee mug from a piece of white card and put this on foam tape over the papers.  I cut out the lid and stamped the sentiment. I also added another stamped die cut for the mug.

I used a piece of the papers to create the border.

Thanks a Bunch

Hi everyone

Well today another card using all my scraps.  I have cased this from a pinterest post, what a great idea.

I first cut the designer paper into 3/4" strips then punched out the little flowers using co-ordinating card stock.  The paper at the bottom was a happy accident as my panel was a wee bit too short LOL, so I used a strip and then covered the join with some 1/8th inch black satin ribbon.

I stamped the sentiment and finished off with some bling as the center of the flowers.

Nice and simple

Birthdays and Cake

Hi everyone

Well tonight I have been using up some more stash, I still seem to have so much more to go LOL
I have used the Cake Soiree stamp set and dies from Stampin' Up! I have had this set for so long and think I have only used it once before, but its so lovely need to keep it out and use it a bit more.

I have also used the lovely new gingham papers, who doesn't like a bit of gingham.......  and Purple again.

I stamped the cake and then coloured it with my Tonic alcohol markers (433 Lavender Sky, 436 Wild Iris and 443 Blueberry Muffin) I added the cake stand in some swirly mirror card and then stamped the sentiment.

I was at a loss about the top of the cake as I was going to put a candle there, but changed my mind and used some of my small paper roses. I think these added a bit of umph to the card, what do you think?  Might have to make a box for this card.

Thanks as always for looking.

Mothers Day #1

Hi Everyone

Well I have made a start on some Mother's Day cards, this is using the lovely new lovely colour Highland Heather from Stampin' Up! I do love purple in any form.  The Mothers Day stamp is from Tonic Studios, which I stamped in Versa Fine.

I have stamped the left hand edge of the panel using a stamp from beauty abounds and then have used a butterfly that I got from B&M store.  They are wall decals but I think the smaller ones look lovely on a car for some added dimension.

Its a simple card but I do love the clean lines of it. Let me know what you think

Unicorn Box

Morning All

Hope everyone is having a great day.

I have been making the sweetest little Unicorn self closing box this morning, I have seen lots of vidoes on the box and I really like it for small presents.

But I wanted it to look a bit different for me so I used a die that was in my stash, which I purchased from Ali Express a long time ago and never actually got around to using.

The measurements for the box are

8.5 x 6 in card stock
Score on the 8.5 side at 4 and 8in
score on the 6" side at 1 and 5"

Turn the card back to the 8.5" side and with the smallest tab on your right score again at 2" only to the first score line and 6" to the first score line

Once this is done take a ruler and scoring tool and at the bottom of the 2" and 6" score line score down to the corners on the bottom score line

Cut up all the score marks to the first score mark, take away the small rectangles on the tab side both top and bottom.

Hope this makes sense for everyone

I die cut a heart from the patterned paper, using the kit and then cut the out line of the flowers from pink card stock and the background from white.  I also used the Tonic shimmer spray for some added colour.

I die cut the word LOVE from white and pink card and layered them for some added dimension.

I finished off using some Nuvo drops.

Photo Plaques

Hi Everyone

Well today I have been working on some wooden plaques I actually bought from B&M and re purposed them.

The signs were already made with some quotes on but I wanted some photo plaques with words.  I started by painting over the original ones with some gesso and and then white acrylic paint.  I then decided on what colours I want and dry brushed some on the top of the white.

I choose some wooden words I had in my stash and used the same background paint.

I cut out some insta frames on my cameo and used a bow die from @alinacrafts on Ali Express from different papers I did used the new gingham papers from @stampinup!
I hot glued the pegs on then added the frames and the words.

I added some new ribbons so they could be with hung from a door or even a picture hook.

I thought it would be fun to add some of your photos and also know that they can be changed when ever you wanted to as the frames are only attached with the peg.

Think I will be searching all the charity shops now for any wooden signs to change.

Anyway thanks as always for looking.

Watering Can Measurements

Hi Everyone

Well I have been asked to share the watering can tutorial with you.  I have put the measurements below hope they are ok for you all

Start with a piece of card stock that measures 8 3/4 x 8"

On the 8 3/4 side score at 2 7/8 and 5 7/8
on the 8" side score at 2 7/8 and 5 1/8"

Turn back to the 8 3/4 " side and from the first score line make a notch of 3/8" after the line at the top and bottom and the turn 180 degrees and do the same on the other side, draw a pencil line from the notch to the middle these become your cutting lines.  I just cut the corners off leaving a half inch for the side tabs and took a slight notch out of them.

For the Handles I used two oval dies and then scored and cut as per below.  Cut two of these glue together and open up the score lines to glue to the box.

For the spout I used a piece of card that measured 1 1/4 x 2 1/2
I notched first at 1/4 Then at 1 1`/4 on the 2 1/2 inch side just so I could get where the spout started to shape then I cut and shaped the rest. remember to cut 2 of these as well to glue together then open the score lines to glue to the box.

I hope this helps in some way

Have fun thanks for looking
